Bloody Mary (and other Great Hangover Cures)
You may like to know that the tomato juice is high in vitamin C and the vodka is low in hangover causing congeners. Congeners are
the organic chemicals that give alcoholic drinks their taste and colour. Generally speaking the darker the drink the more congeners - the bad guys. Try to avoid too much port or brandy and go for white rum, vodka or white wine. Red wine falls in the middle.

Ingredients
For one hangover only..
50ml cold vodka (just a hint, you can keep the vodka in the
freezer, it won't freeze but it will come out thick and cold )
25ml dry sherry
150ml tomato juice
25ml lemon juice
4 drops Tabasco
4 dashes Worcestershire sauce
a good grind of black pepper
a good pinch celery salt
twist of lemon, stick of celery and ice cubes to serve |
Recipe
It is best to stir this reviver, if you shake this in a cocktail shaker it will be much thicker. It can also be made in a blender.
Mix the vodka, sherry, tomato juice, lemon juice, Tabasco and
Worcester sauce, black pepper and celery salt in a jug. Prepare a
frosted glass by putting it in the freezer 30 minutes before serving the drink.
Pour the Bloody Mary into the frosted glass and slide the twist of lemon in the top with a stick of celery the length of a long spoon.

There are few more notable hangover cures than this one.
Place an unbroken egg in a glass with one measure of brandy. Add a dash of Tabasco and vinegar and season with salt and pepper. Then hold on to your head or your stomach or someone else and drink this down in one gulp. Body Talk
